Residential and commercial interiors, on site in Berlin and remotely anywhere. The scope of work depends on two things: the condition of the property and how far you want to go - from a layout concept to supervising the build. Pricing is calculated per square metre for each stage.
What I work with
Any stage of readiness - from an empty shell to a flat you already live in
- Bare concreteA new build handed over as a shell. Everything is decided from scratch: layout, wiring, plumbing routes, lighting. The stage where design saves the most money, because nothing has been built yet.
- White boxWalls, screed and basic utilities are in place. I start with layout adjustments, finishes and lighting, then move to furniture and decor.
- Finished interiorA flat or house you already live in. Renovation within the existing structure where possible: finishes, furniture layout, lighting, decor.
Ways to work together
From a full project to a single stage - you decide how much to hand over
- Full projectAll five stages: brief, concept, technical drawings, sourcing and procurement, design supervision. The usual choice for a new build or a full renovation.
- Concept onlyLayout, moodboard, materials and 3D visuals. You get a clear picture of the result and can build it with your own contractor.
- Furniture and decor selectionNo construction work. I select furniture, lighting, textiles and decor, put it into the plan and hand over a shopping list with links and prices.
- Design supervisionYou already have a project. I keep the contractor to it: site visits or video calls, checking materials and details as the work goes.
How the work goes
Five stages, the same for an on-site project in Berlin and a remote one
Brief
Introductory meeting, questionnaire, design brief. Measurements taken on site — or worked out from your drawings and photos if the project is remote.
Concept
Space planning in 2–3 layout options, moodboard, materials, 3D visualization. Only solutions and items that can actually be bought or ordered go into the visuals, so the picture matches the result.
Technical drawings
The package depends on how far along the property is. A full set includes: as-built plan, demolition and partition plans, furniture and equipment layout, utilities layouts, floor, ceiling and wall finish plans, custom furniture drawings.
Sourcing and procurement
Finishes, sanitaryware, electrical fixtures, furniture, lighting and decor. Purchasing lists come as a Google document with links and prices, plus tracking of lead times.
Design supervision
Progress of construction and procurement: site visits or video calls, checking materials and details, matching what gets built against the drawings.

Three countries from one desk. The 288 m² house in Austin was designed and delivered without a single site visit. On the others I flew out when the stage called for it.

What it costs
Design work is priced per square metre: from €40 to €80 incl. VAT, depending on how much of the project you hand over.
Furniture and decor selection sits at the lower end, a full project with technical drawings and design supervision at the upper. The state of the property matters too - bare concrete needs a far bigger drawing set than a flat that only changes its finishes.
The figure is fixed after the brief, once the scope is clear. It covers design work only: furniture, materials and contractor fees are paid by you, directly to the suppliers.

Yes. The 288 m² house in Austin was done that way from start to finish, without a single site visit. I work from your measurements and photos, plus a video walkthrough. If the property has not been measured properly, I send a brief your contractor or a local measuring service can follow.
You do, directly from the suppliers. I put together the shopping list with links, prices and quantities, and keep an eye on lead times so nothing arrives after the contractor has left.
Yes. Take the concept and the technical drawings and hand them over. If you want the work checked as it goes, add design supervision on top.
Yes — cafés, salons, studios. The Way Pilates studio in Moscow, 182 m², was taken from bare concrete through to opening.
That is fine. Pricing is per square metre, so a single room is simply a smaller project. A 9 m² kids room in Berlin is in the portfolio alongside the 288 m² house.
It depends on the scope and on how much I already have in progress, so I name a date only after the brief. What I can promise is that the date holds: if I say two weeks, it is two weeks; if I need eight, I say eight upfront. Construction runs on a different clock — a project like the Way Pilates studio took six to eight months, most of it waiting on contractors and deliveries rather than on drawings.
